The scenes

Not all of the Tapestry can fit into my story. Some scenes are too static or too enigmatic. I was led to make choices, often instinctively, to find the path that connects this iconography of the Middle Ages to my universe, that of my hybrid men with bird heads, and to extract the points of convergence with our century: a turbulent era, wars, epidemics, climate change.

The Beast of the Sea

"... a Monstrous First Beast, with seven Heads and Ten Horns.

On the horns were diadems, and on the heads, blasphemous names.

Now this Sea Monster, the first one I saw, truly resembled a tiger. It had enormous paws like a bear's, and a mouth like a lion's. (...)

That is why I saw all the assistants, amazed by this healing, become the Sea Monster's devoted followers, and prostrate themselves in adoration."

The Fall of Babylon

After that, I saw yet another Angel descend from Heaven, endowed with an impressive appearance.
The entire world was illuminated by his prestige.

In a formidable voice, he proclaimed:

"She has fallen, she has fallen, Babylon the Great."

The frogs

And I, at that moment, saw three impure and ugly spirits, like toads, spring from the mouth of the Dragon, from the mouth of the monster, and from the mouth of the Imposter Prophet.

But it was precisely the Spirits of the Demonic, capable of causing wonders, who knew how to find kings and gather them for battle.

The sleep of the righteous

"You write: 'Ah! Blessed are the departed who depart, from now on...'"

And this voice was confirmed by that of the Spirit of Prophecy who is on earth, for he proclaimed: “Yes, indeed! For these dead will rest from their arduous labors, and their deeds will follow them.”

The Heavenly Jerusalem

And I saw again the New Heaven and the New Earth, which had taken the place of the First Heaven and the First Earth. As for the Sea, there was no trace of it anywhere.
But the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, I saw it, prepared like the Bride when she adorned herself for the Bridegroom, descending in splendor from heaven.

The River of Life - Resilience

Then the Angel unfurled, before my eyes, a Torrent of Life-giving Water, a torrent of crystal clarity, which gushed forth in the center of the Place, at the foot of the Throne of the God and the Lamb.

Then he unfurled before my eyes, beyond the torrent and its two banks, an Orchard of Trees of Life, each bearing twelve fruits, one fruit for each month of the year. And the families of these Trees of Life worked to heal all the ills of the nations.
